The Failures of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
Human actions never stem from collective interests; otherwise, they are being asked by a government that is trying to raise the standard of living of its people. International politics is equivocal and the nations of the world, it is said, have only their interests to defend. Can we speak of brotherly peoples or sister nations in a world where the great nations, as they are called, are only consolidating their hegemony? The great ones will have to stay great, woe to the little ones if they want to work to be great. Since when do the strongest support the weakest in their weakness? After World War II, the United States took the initiative to rebuild many European countries to give these nations better living conditions and promote democracy through the famous Marshall Plan. Knowing European history, did these nations need help to rebuild themselves? In any case, nearly $15 billion has been disbursed to these countries. Always in accordance with the principle that the great ones must stay great, and the little ones must stay little, Europe has been rebuilt and the nations that have known misery since their existence must remain in poverty. Hunger and misery have settled in Africa and have never wanted to move, a good part of Asia has not been able to save itself from hunger and misery, to name but a few; which giant will come to their aid?
